Ogilvy, Unity and Cancer Research UK win big at CIPR Excellence Awards

Ogilvy, Unity and Cancer Research UK were the big winners at this year's CIPR Excellence Awards, picking up gongs in multiple categories.

PR professionals attending last night’s awards ceremony watched Ogilvy pick up top honours in the global, corporate and business communications, and integrated categories for its Gnome Experiment campaign.

Unity and Cancer Research UK’s ‘R UV Ugly’ won two awards for best not-for-profit and best healthcare campaign.

Royal Mail was also rewarded for its work on London 2012, picking up a best consumer relations award for its gold postboxes and gold medal stamps, as well as the best internal publication award.

Blue Rubicon was named outstanding consultancy of the year, replicating its success at the PRWeek Awards last year. The award for outstanding in-house team went to Transport For London in recognition of its Keeping London Moving campaign during the Olympic Games.

The awards were judged by 80 comms industry professionals, including APCO director Lionel Zetter and former John Lewis comms director Helen Dickinson.
