Nicolls will focus on developing the Huntsworth agency’s financial services practice, having spent 15 years at Penrose and latterly MHP after Penrose’s amalgamation with Mandate and Hogarth.

Andrew Hayes, Hudson Sandler CEO, commented: ‘Andrew is an important senior hire… His expertise across financial communications, corporate reputation and the digital landscape will enable him to make a valuable contribution as we support our clients in a rapidly changing communications environment.’

Nicolls co-founded financial services specialist Penrose in 1998 with Gay Collins and Shona Prendergast. The agency was sold to Engine Group in 2010 and merged with its two sister businesses to become MHP Communications.

Previously he was a director at Ludgate Communications.

Nicolls, currently a managing director at MHP, said: ‘Hudson Sandler is an entrepreneurial and ambitious business and this is a great time to be joining one of the most respected brands in financial and corporate communications.’
