Polley had previously spent five years as director for Southern Africa for PR agency Africa Practice, working with institutions including the Southern Africa Development Community and the New Partnership for Africa's Development.

A South African native, Polley has worked in the UK and South Africa in roles including general manager of Text 100 South Africa, head of comms and partner strategy for The AirMiles Travel Company and account director at Brodeur Worldwide.

In her newly created role at College Hill she will report to both Nick Williams, managing partner South Africa, and Tim Fallon, managing partner and head of global corporate practice.

Commenting on her appointment, Fallon said: ‘Based on College Hill's already significant presence and experience in South African capital markets, Kim's appointment as our first ever head of corporate for South Africa is testament to both the opportunity that exists, and the ambition we have to develop a broad world class business communications offer in southern Africa and beyond.’

Polley commented: ‘For the last five years, I have had the enormous privilege of working with multinationals and public sector institutions that are serious about Africa.

‘I am thrilled to be bringing these skills to College Hill, an organisation with a sterling reputation in the international business community and an ambitious outlook for the continent.’
