Both companies offer respondents cash payments for their opinions.

One of the aims of the enlarged business will be to grow its database of panel members and to extend the range of rewards on offer to those who participate in surveys.

OnePoll CEO John Sewell said: ‘We plan to develop schemes that will enable us and our members to support charities by completing surveys and then deciding to donate their reward to good causes. We will also explore how we can increase our funding when a charity benefits.’

OnePoll is part of news distribution provider 72Point and the UK’s largest independent press agency SWNS.

It was established in 2005, has 100,000 UK panellists and has carried out more than 10,000 surveys for the PR industry.
