The self-regulatory body for face-to-face fundraising has brought in Insight Public Affairs as part of a strategic comms shift.

The Public Fundraising Regulatory Association is in increasing engagement with central and local government regulators after a review of the Charities Act 2006 that councils should work with the PFRA on licensing street fundraising.

The PFRA’s account was previously handled by Burson-Marsteller, but Insight is starting a one-year contract on 1 May after pitching with two undisclosed agencies.

Dr Toby Ganley, head of policy at the PFRA, said: ‘Insight fits in with our plans to look at our public affairs with fresh eyes.’
