Hamilton Bradshaw Real Estate (HBRE) was launched by Caan and real estate partner Faisal Butt in 2010 to invest in high-growth real estate companies.

Since its establishment HBRE has backed five firms, including online estate agent Ivy Gate and investment advisory business 90 North, and plans to expand its portfolio quickly.

The company is understood to have held talks with several agencies with real estate experience, believed to include Tavistock Communications, Four Communications and Porterfield.

Butt said: 'There is no shortage of opportunities in the real estate space. Our objective is to create fresh stories around each business we back.'

He added that as a new entrant to the market, the company did not have a huge PR budget, but was looking for a partner to 'give us personalised attention and grow with us as the platform grows'.
