The division serves global clients in the consumer health sector and Vrettos will lead Zeno’s healthcare work throughout Europe.

Most recently Vrettos worked for clients such as GSK, Sanofi Pasteur MSD and Bayer Schering while leading consumer health as associate director at Red Door and has experience across a number of areas including allergy, cardiology, dental and diabetes healthcare comms.

Zeno Europe managing director Steve Earl said: ‘Rachel will not only be a strong healthcare leader for us but a big asset for clients. She brings consumer thinking to the brand communication challenges of the pharmaceutical sector and the global perspective of ethical programmes to sensitive consumer issues. Plus she is fearless about bringing fresh perspectives to the opportunities that a fast-changing communications and media landscape brings.’

Vrettos’ appointment follows the recent hire of consumer director Katie Taylor from Lexis in March.

Zeno is owned by Edelman and specialises in the consumer, healthcare and technology sectors. It opened its London office last year.
