INTERNATIONAL: Gavin Anderson to strengthen PA sector in Europe

BRUSSELS: Gavin Anderson & Company is planning a Europe-wide public

affairs push to strengthen its expertise in the sector.

The group, traditionally strong in corporate and financial

communications, has hired Nick Andrews to drive its public affairs

offering across Europe, heading teams in London, Brussels, Frankfurt,

Paris and Madrid.

Andrews - formerly APCO European MD of strategic communications - also

takes on the dual role of CEO for GA's Brussels office, replacing Gilles

Teisseyre, who has left to set up his own consultancy.

'Gavin Anderson essentially has three legs: financial PR; corporate

communications; and public affairs,' said Andrews. 'Public affairs is

the least developed of these and the aim is to ensure it's equally as

strong.'

Andrews previously worked as Brussels director for The Rowland Company

and as a consultant with UK City PR agency Financial Dynamics.
