Malcolm Munro, who was also previously ITN's head of sport and later became comms director of Sport England, has become a partner in BPP's Sans Frontières team.
As well as focusing on corporate and governmental issues at San Frontieres, Munro will look to add broadcast and media experience across the group.
He follows Lord Bell and the other BPP founders from Chime Communications to the privately owned agency, having worked as media director at Good Relations for six years.
While at the Chime-owned agency he also led international media relations for Madrid's 2016 Olympic bid.
Munro will report to Tom Mollo, BPP's recently promoted MD, international.
