Lee Blackwell joins as the brand’s first head of PR, having most recently worked at Wriglesworth Communications as a director running accounts on its retail financial services team. She has also worked at Polhill Communications.

Blackwell will manage Partnership’s retained agency Votive Communications and will aim to build knowledge of the brand among business and consumer audiences.

In addition Partnership has appointed Caroline Jackson as public affairs manager. Jackson was a parliamentary researcher for the former deputy chairman of the Conservative Party, John Maples MP, and also worked in the Department for Education and Department of Health’s Joint Social Work Unit. She was most recently a public affairs and campaigns adviser at the Local Government Association.

Both report to Jim Boyd, director of corporate affairs, who said: ‘The appointment of both Lee and Caroline will strengthen our corporate affairs team and help us to educate more stakeholders about the benefits that enhanced products can provide. It will also ensure that Partnership continues to help shape the political environment to provide superior outcomes for consumers.’

Last month PRWeek revealed that Partnership Assurance, owned by private equity group Cinven, hired Citigate Dewe Rogerson for a corporate and financial brief ahead of a widely tipped £1bn float later this year.
