MySupportBroker brings in Journalista

MySupportBroker, the social care support service, has brought in Journalista as its first external agency as it looks to boost awareness of the service among consumers and local authorities.

Journalista is charged with handling the comms and marketing for MySupportBroker to grow its profile among care givers and recipients of social care, local authorities and the local community.

As part of the brief, which  is initially for six months, the agency has been commissioned to carry out an industry-leading report on the social care sector. The b2b and consumer work will involve undertaking complex data analysis of the sector and handling MySupportBroker’s press office function.

Holly Sutton, director at the agency, will lead the account, reporting to Sinead Brophy, director at MySupportBroker.

MySupportBroker is a social enterprise service that recruits and trains people who have a lived experience of disability, or who have supported people with long-term health conditions or mental health needs, to become peer brokers.

These brokers then assist people like themselves to plan, find and manage support and healthcare services.

The service supports both people receiving social care budgets from local authorities, and people funding their own social care.

Sutton told PRWeek: ‘As the Government encourages individuals to take greater control of their support services, it is increasingly important that organisations like this give people access to the best possible advice and assistance to plan for their needs.’
