GBC beats seven to secure Speech Recognition work

The Grant Butler Coomber Group has been appointed to promote the

Speech Recognition Company.

GBC, which saw off seven firms including rivals Firefly Communications

to secure the contract, now has an ongoing retainer-based deal with

SRC.

The agency's brief is to promote SRC's desktop and telephony-based

'speech recognition solutions' within the trade and business press. GBC

will also handle event management programmes.

The agency also aims to encourage the growth of SRC within the

financial, entertainment, retail travel and gaming markets.

Associate director Caro Bamforth heads a four-strong team on the account

and will report to SRC marketing manager Richard Whale.

Five to ten per cent of the budget will be spent on a research and

evaluation service, dealt with by specialist researcher Validate.
