London-based Doctors of the World has appointed Arc Seven to provide strategic comms advice to develop the organisation’s messaging and positioning.
The charity provides medical care to vulnerable populations affected by war, natural disasters, disease, famine, poverty or exclusion in more than 70 countries.
The charity recently appointed former Plan UK comms boss Leigh Daynes to become executive director.
He said: ‘The team at Arc Seven will support us as we become an even more powerful force in the humanitarian field.
'Its expert knowledge of the international NGO sector will be vital in building a clear picture of our stakeholders, our positioning and messaging, and how we can best grow our impact, influence and income in the coming years.’
Arc Seven MD Alistair Clay said: ‘We’re looking forward to helping bring a razor-like focus to the team’s comms to support Leigh’s ambitious growth plans.
‘The NGO sector is one we know in great depth and competition for funding in these austere times is fierce, so it’s absolutely vital to create a compelling narrative that wins over all stakeholders.’
