The agency also expanded its operations into India, with new offices in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. One of the Indian businesses' first accounts was sports car firm Lamborghini.

In New York, Ruder Finn celebrated ten new business wins, including Roche Diagnostics and Caribou Coffee.

The agency created a technology health division to capitalise on a surge in interest in the 'm-health' market in the UK.

In July, the agency's London offices were picketed by protesters after it started working with the Maldives government on a tourist brief. The protest came after claims that the former Maldives president Mohamed Nasheed was removed from office by force in a coup d'etat.

One of Ruder Finn's most senior hires was Burson-Marsteller's director of public affairs Wendy Loh, who joined as vice-president of the Beijing office.
