In the global PR table, FTI Consulting racked up 153 deals.

Meanwhile, in Europe it accounted for 113 deals, with a further 26 in Asia-Pacific. But the value of its total global deals was down by 22.8 per cent and it sits in fourth place behind Brunswick, RLM Finsbury and Sard Verbinnen & Co.

Most notable wins included the World Energy Council, which handed the agency a seven-figure global media brief following a competitive pitch against Porter Novelli, Ogilvy, Weber Shandwick and InComm Brodeur.

British designer fashion brand Hobbs appointed the agency to be its retained financial and corporate adviser.

The agency also advised the Russian government on its sale of its stake in the country's largest bank Sberbank, which netted about $5bn (£3.13bn).
