The UK-based firm, which last year merged with quantity surveyor Arcadis, advises on all aspects of building projects from strategy, technical, creation and operation of buildings such as power stations, airports, office buildings and housing.

Blue Rubicon will build the brand in key markets including the UK and growth markets such as Asia and the Middle East. The agency will aim to increase understanding of the company's services and reinforce its position as a market leader. It will also position EC Harris as an industry expert within target sectors such as energy and infrastructure.

EC Harris group PR manager Andy Rowlands, said: ‘As a business, we’re ambitious for our success. We’re at an exciting time in our development and are enjoying rapid expansion on the back of joining the Arcadis group last year. Effective comms are absolutely crucial to realising our continued growth ambitions, so that we can boost our penetration in key sectors.

‘We need an agency to work seamlessly with our in-house team and one that can combine strategic thinking with impressive campaign delivery - which is why we’ve brought Blue Rubicon on board.’

Blue Rubicon CEO Gordon Tempest-Hay said: ‘This is a challenging and exciting brief due to the wide variety of sectors and markets that EC Harris works with, as well as the sheer breadth of its service offering. Built asset consultancy is a fascinating area and there is a massive opportunity here to showcase the strength of EC Harris’ expertise.
