F-H has been appointed to work across the US and UK markets to promote the range of hook-and-loop products and work with bloggers with the aim of turning them into brand ambassadors.

Velcro Industries consumer strategic business unit manager EMEA Trudie Johnson said: 'There are so many ways that our products are used by our customers, but many of them are still unknown to us.

'We want to engage with people to find out how they are using Velcro products, which we can then use to help inspire others.'

Johnson added that 'there are many imitations that simply don't work as well as Velcro' and that the company wanted consumers to 'seek out the real thing and then share their tips with others'.

F-H London will manage both trade and consumer media relations in the UK and provide support for product launches until the end of 2012 and throughout 2013.

It is the first time Velcro Industries has used a PR agency in the UK. F-H was appointed following a pitch in the US.
