PLMR has been appointed to deliver a media relations and lobbying campaign for law firm Slater & Gordon. Earlier this year, the Australian law firm announced that it is to enter the UK market after agreeing to buy law firm Russell Jones & Walker for £53.8m.

TLG has been appointed by Indian IT company WIPRO to provide a thought-leadership campaign to run across four markets including the UK. WIPRO is the second largest IT company in India and has 130,000 employees and a worldwide presence, with global centres ranging across 54 countries.

Hume Brophy has announced the appointment of Michael Brophy as group chairman. Brophy moves into PR from the position of chief executive of the Irish-based Independent News & Media, where he led the company's publishing, digital and printing operations across Northern Ireland.

Cohn & Wolfe has recruited Lara Cornwall as an account director. She joins from Havas PR UK and before that spent four years at Freud Communications. Her previous clients have included LOCOG, Bupa, Staples and Reckitt Benckiser.
