Duncan Sedgwick became the inaugural CEO of the Energy Retail Association in 2003, helping establish the association and dealing with the media and government on a regular basis. He has worked in the energy sector for nearly 40 years.

Sedgwick said: ‘The energy sector faces unprecedented challenges with declining levels of trust, increasing political pressure from rising prices and eye-watering levels of investment required over the next decade.

‘I’m excited to be joining Westbourne where I can combine my energy experience with my belief in the importance of communication. Energy companies will need to be more transparent and more collaborative if they are to thrive in the emerging political and commercial landscape.’

Sedgwick will oversee the growth of the practice as well as providing insight for Westbourne’s energy clients. Jennifer Powers, partner, leads the energy practice for Westbourne.
