Tiscali UK stages pitch for B2C and B2B PR accounts

Internet service provider Tiscali UK is putting its B2B and B2C PR

up for grabs following the appointment of its first PR and

communications manager.

Cornelia Parchment-Horn joined Tiscali last month as the first UK

in-house PR chief with an immediate remit to review the firm's external

PR needs.

She joined from analyst and consulting firm Ovum, where she was UK PR

manager.

Tiscali formed in the UK in July after the Italian parent group bought

ISPs LineOne, World Online and LibertySurf.

Tiscali currently uses tech firm Harvard PR in the UK, in a link dating

back four years.

'When LineOne, World Online and LibertySurf merged to become Tiscali UK,

we reviewed all our internal processes and part of that is marketing and

PR,' said Parchment-Horn.

'We are trying to start everything afresh - Harvard has been invited to

repitch, but we wanted to get a feel for what else is out there.'

The first shortlist had been drawn up this week and they hoped to have a

final shortlist by the end of October, she added.

It is believed four or five agencies are involved in the review and

McLaurin is believed to be pitching.
