Former BSMG Square Mile joint CEO Paul Philpotts has launched his
own consultancy following his resignation from the City PR firm.
Philpotts's venture, International Communications Consulting Group
(IC2), opened in London this week with an aim to launch offices in
'eight to nine cities worldwide' - starting with Paris in November, New
York early next year, and Frankfurt and Hong Kong during 2002.
IC2 will be led by Philpotts, previously Ogilvy PR Worldwide European
president, and seven partners, including former Square Mile director Tim
Kitchin, who joins as group strategy director.
'We will offer high-end strategic advice on communications, crisis
communications and networks,' said Philpotts.
Philpotts left Square Mile two weeks ago and will not be replaced due to
a restructure sparked off by the merger of Interpublic Group brands
Square Mile, Golin/Harris Ludgate and Weber Shandwick Worldwide's City
practice (PRWeek, 5 October).
