Vero’s Brazillian subsidiary MLA True Communications and sister agency Approach will lead communications around the Rio 2016 Olympic Park master plan which was contracted to AECOM in August last year.

Vero Chairman Mike Lee OBE said: ‘It is an honour to be working with AECOM, who are at the very heart of planning for the Olympic Park for the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games and are continuing to grow a strong business in Brazil.

‘As a leading communications agency specialising in the business of sport, Vero has the experience and expertise to support AECOM with its media and stakeholder communications goals in Brazil.’

Vero has previously worked on Olympic briefs including Rio’s Olympic bid and media management of Brazil’s Olympic Committee presence, Casa Brazil, at the London 2012 games. It was recently called in to support comms for host city Belo Horizonte ahead of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil.
