KLM chief of IR Roseboom moves to role at Maitland

The Maitland Consultancy has named former KLM Royal Dutch Airline

IR chief Jantiene Klein Roseboom as head of its investor relations

division.

Klein Roseboom takes over in the role from agency chairman Angus

Maitland with a view to leading IR expansion both in the UK and

abroad.

One of her main remits will be to develop a strategy to work with

marketing services group Euro RSCG, Maitland's recently-acquired

partner.

The joint venture with Euro RSCG comes as a result of Maitland's deal

with French communications giant Havas Advertising - an agreement which

allows Euro RSCG the option to take a stake of less than 40 per cent of

London-based Maitland.

Klein Roseboom, who reports directly to Maitland, will take an active

role in the agency's expansion, which is set to begin with Paris,

Frankfurt and Milan, largely co-locating with Euro RSCG offices.

Klein Roseboom left KLM after 14 years, during which time she had spells

as commercial planning manager, director of corporate strategy - mergers

and acquisitions, director of international revenue management -

marketing, and most recently vice-president and IR officer.

At KLM in Amsterdam, she has been replaced by Marleijne Wijen and Emilie

van Karnebeek, who have jointly been appointed as directors of investor

relations, overseeing all global IR for the airline.

Wijen, who has been with KLM since last August, is promoted from her

previous post as IR officer. Van Karnebeek joined KLM more than four

years ago and is promoted from her former role as director, corporate

finance.

Both report to KLM chief finance officer Rob Abrahamsen.
