The culture agency will work over the next six months to devise a long term communication strategy for the Manchester theatre, which puts on an average of 350 performances a year.
Jane Acton, associate director at Four Colman Getty, said: ‘We’ll be working to build the profile of the theatre and extend the Royal Exchange brand to national audiences. They already have a good profile and a good in house team but wanted to specifically look at reaffirming their position as a significant theatre. It is a refresh of their communications strategy.’
The agency won the account after being recommended by longstanding client Bruntwood, a property company which sponsors the Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting, which was launched in 2005 and is the UK’s largest competition of its type.
The Royal Exchange, which hosts the new shows, has put on 50 premieres in the past ten years.
