Scanomat, a manufacturer of coffee machines, brought in the agency to raise awareness of the product, called TopBrewer, following a pitch process.
Bottle has been retained to develop a PR programme targeted towards retailers, designers and office managers for the machine, which has iPhone connectivity and a finger touch keyboard.
As part of the programme it will be co-ordinating a series of coffee mornings for select journalists, designed to showcase the TopBrewer.
Simon Bracken, MD of Scanomat in the UK, said: ‘We have been extremely heartened by the online response we have already had to TopBrewer. However, we are conscious that we need to have a strategic and targeted approach to PR.’
Bottle CEO Claire Cairns added: ‘TopBrewer is all about innovating, not imitating, and we will reflect this in our PR strategy. We know that the select journalists we target will be blown away by the TopBrewer experience. Here is in the UK we are a nation of coffee and Apple lovers – TopBrewer encapsulates the best of both.’
The account will be led by Claire Jones, senior PR consultant at Bottle.
