- The annual Hacks vs Flacks charity sports day took place last Sunday, raising more than £12k for the London Air Ambulance. The charity grudge fixture saw the Hacks 'demolish' the Flacks in the rounders, only to suffer an 'embarrassing reversal' in the cricket. Steve Hawkes, business editor of The Sun, walloped the largest six of the day, but was bowled shortly afterwards, apparently taking to Twitter to protest against the persecution of journalists...

- Birmingham-based consultancy Clive Reeves PR has taken on an apprentice with the help of Nick Holzherr, finalist on BBC1's The Apprentice, whose company Whisk has become a client of Clive Reeves. Holzherr helped choose 18-year-old apprentice Lewis Chapman. In Greek mythology Leander swam across this stretch of water to his lover Hero every night. Is it only Flack that doubts the effects of prolonged water exposure are particularly romantic?... And finally, Flack received this pic of Gary Farrow with Piers Morgan the other day, with only the following words provided: 'In LA. One a Giant of Media. The other Piers Morgan.' Hmmm...
