It is believed a pitch process has been taking place over recent weeks. A source told PRWeek the firm is looking for an agency to cover UK work for its merchandise, especially its growing interactive division.

A handful of consumer agencies have been approached to discuss the brief with Disney. When contacted by PRWeek, Disney declined to comment.

3 Monkeys currently handles Disney's consumer products brief. It is unknown whether this will be affected.

A six-month project brief was handed to Instinct PR to promote the show Disney on Ice last month.
