Bell Pottinger to promote new Komixx Entertainment children's programme

Bell Pottinger has been appointed by media company Komixx Entertainment to promote its new children's TV programme, Toby's Travelling Circus.

Bell Pottinger Consumer will be driving a PR programme targeting a range of sectors including trade, parenting and consumer press for the launch of the new show on Channel 5’s Milkshake! this September.

Aimed at children aged between three and six years, Toby’s Travelling Circus features the adventures of Toby, a seven-year-old boy who is the leader and ringmaster of his family’s travelling circus and fairground. Stop-frame model animation for the UK-based production is being provided by the award-winning Mackinnon & Saunders studios in Manchester.

The agency was approached by Komixx following previous work with the Bell Pottinger Business & Brand and Digital teams, who will also work on the brief.

Among media targeted will be lifestyle magazines, TV magazines, nationals and regional, with features pages targeted alongside news and listings.

Broadcast media and bloggers will also be the focus of work.

Toby’s Travelling Circus has already been recommissioned by Channel 5 Milkshake! for a second series, due for broadcast in 2013 and beyond.

This is the first time that the broadcaster has elected to commission a programme’s second series before any episodes have ever appeared on TV.
