Southampton FC sponsor Aap³ brings in Remarkable Group

Southampton Football Club sponsor Aap³ has brought in Remarkable Group as it seeks to make the most of the team's promotion to the Premier League.

IT services and recruitment company Aap³ is into the second of a three-year deal with the club, which won promotion from the Championship in May, and has put Remarkable in charge of maximising its support for the team.

The Hampshire-based agency, which won a 12-month retainer following a pitch process, will focus on generating results from the company’s sponsorship on a national and regional level, as well as trade PR. Previously, all comms was handled in-house.

Aap³ is now a global brand but was founded in Southampton. As well as raising the profile of its range of worldwide services, Remarkable will be working hard to forge stronger connections with national, regional and local businesses, as well as the community.

Remarkable has also been brought in with an international remit and will be aiming to promote the Aap³ brand and its offices in the UK, Europe and the US.

As part of this, trade and business press and key recruitment titles will be targeted with new business wins, thought-leadership articles and profiling aap³’s senior management team.

Social media will be a key part of Remarkable’s role, setting up a dedicated Twitter account for the sponsorship, providing content for and updating the aap³ sponsorship microsite, while fan engagement will also be a key focus, with competitions and match-day entertainment planned to encourage fans to engage with the brand.  
 
Chris Wotton, PR director at Remarkable, is leading the account, and reports to Carol Pike, Aap³’s senior vice-president and director, corporate office.

Wotton said: 'The Premier League link will give us plenty to work with to get Aap³ some quality coverage that really sets it apart from its competitors and makes its sponsorship pay off.’
