Hunt has taken on the role after a short career break, having left her role as MD of corporate for Cohn & Wolfe in March.

An important part of her new role will be centre around CSR, something understood to reflect a greater focus in general at the company.

Lauren Sayeski, vice-president of external relations and stakeholder engagement, said: ‘Corporate responsibility and sustainability is at the core of Coca-Cola Enterprises’ business, and we have made solid progress on our sustainability journey, working closely with our stakeholders every step of the way.

'This new role will work with the wider public affairs and comms team on the ongoing process of engagement and collaboration with stakeholders as we continue this journey.’

Hunt joined Cohn & Wolfe in 2006 following time freelancing and seven years at Hill+Knowlton Strategies.

Her former boss, Scott Wilson, CEO of Cohn & Wolfe UK, said: 'Ros is a fantastic PR practitioner and I have no doubts she will be both a huge success and a great client at Coca-Cola Enterprises.

'While Ros gave more than five years loyal service to C&W, I will always think of her as my first "hire" as CEO, having promoted her to MD of the corporate division within weeks of my arrival in October 2010. Ros fully justified that decision.’

Coca-Cola Enterprises is the world's third largest independent Coca-Cola bottler, employing about 4,500 people across England, Scotland and Wales.
