DIARY: Is Sky the limit for Mr and Mrs Freud's empire?

With the stags to depart for a week in Cuba and the hens plotting

their Eurostar sojourn in Paris, preparations are in hand for the

wedding of Freud Communications founder (and newly installed co-owner)

Matthew Freud to Elisabeth Murdoch.

Insiders remain reticent about the precise arrangements on the day -

'It's an area of his life Matthew wants to keep quiet at the moment',

one source admitted. Details about guests, menus and entertainments are

thin on the ground, but it is known that the ceremony will go ahead on

17 August at Blenheim Palace, home of the Duke of Marlborough.

While we can speculate that the media rights to the ceremony are not up

for sale, the nuptials create something of a communications

powerbase.

Relations between Freud and his father-in-law Rupert Murdoch are known

to be testy. So agencies working for one of the world's largest media

stables (with assets of £27bn) should not feel threatened by Freud

just yet.
