Eames to succeed Holden as chair of PRCA in Midlands

The Midlands division of the PRCA has elected a replacement to

succeed out-going chairman Bryan Holden.

Bronwen Eames, Haslimann Taylor PR managing director, takes over from

Leader PR founder Holden in the Birmingham-based role.

Holden is stepping down after six years at the helm of the biggest PRCA

unit outside the capital. He is credited within the region with

strengthening the association's influence and boosting its members'

profile.

Eames takes over the chair next month. She brings 20 years experience at

agencies including the then Kingsway PR and Leedex GTPR.

'I want to drive home the message that anyone choosing a consultancy

should look for evidence of adherence to high standards,' she said.

PRCA members must complete the Consultancy Management Standard. 'With so

many individuals setting themselves up as one-man operators, those

seeking PR services should look for CMS accreditation before signing a

contract,' she added.
