Palmer Capital Partners, the real estate venture capital firm, has appointed FWD PR to advise on comms surrounding its acquisition of AIM-listed Invista Real Estate Investment Management. Invista was formerly the UK's largest property fund, and is a subsidiary of Lloyds TSB. The FWD team is led by chief executive Michael Gaughan.

Jacana, a pan-African private equity firm, has handed a retained brief to Gong Communications after a four-way pitch. The firm invests in small to medium sized enterprises to deliver sustainable financial and social returns.

DC Advisory Partners, the Daiwa-owned corporate finance firm, has hired College Hill to boost its corporate reputation. The company employs more than 200 staff across Europe. Mark Lunn, partner in College Hill's financial services team, will lead the account.

Falcon Oil & Gas, the global energy firm, has appointed FTI Consulting. The agency will provide strategic comms and investor relations services.

DCC, the marketing services group, has called in Powerscourt to handle corporate and financial comms in the UK. The agency team, led by partner Victoria Palmer-Moore, will also help the firm communicate with London's analyst community.
