Grant Thornton: wants to promote its newly launched ‘Instinct for Growth’ brand positioning
The company has called in Brands2Life to raise awareness of its business advisory services and promote its newly launched ‘Instinct for Growth’ brand positioning.

The new brand positioning is aimed at bringing a more ‘human face’ to the firm as it continues to compete against the ‘big four’ accountancy firms.

The appointment comes after Grant Thornton cut back its in-house team from six to three, through a combination of voluntary redundancies and resignations.

Brands2Life won the account after a competitive four-way pitch process and begins work immediately.

Grant Thornton director of comms Olivia Gadd said: ‘Our goal is to help UK companies combine reason and instinct to capitalise on growth. We are looking to profile our expertise and insight in a range of industry sectors such as retail; property and construction; technology and media and energy and environment.

‘Brands2Life demonstrated real understanding of these vertical markets and an ability to work seamlessly with our internal team.’

Brands2Life director Harriet Rich will lead the account. She said: ‘Grant Thornton is an ambitious, dynamic firm with a huge breadth of expertise and we look forward to building the company’s profile in key business and vertical media.’

Brands2Life has been brought in for an initial one-year retainer.

In the UK, Grant Thornton is the fourth largest auditor of privately held companies and number one auditor and adviser of AIM-listed companies.  It also counts one in four of the FTSE 100 among its advisory clients.
