Legoland Windsor kids' theme park fills senior PR job

Children's theme park Legoland Windsor has recruited Alison Bledge

for its top PR position.

The PR manager post had been vacant since the departure of Sarah

Beardmore-Gray, who is now a freelance consultant, last February. The

role had been filled by consultant Caroline Lewis in the interim.

Bledge joins from Biss Lancaster Euro RSCG, where she was a senior

account handler working with clients including the Spanish Tourist

Office and Business Travel International.

She heads a team of two and reports to Wendy Neal-Smith, Legoland's

marketing and sales director.

Legoland opened in 1996, when it took over the site formerly occupied by

Windsor Safari Park.

Bledge will handle all media relations as well as internal

communications.

During the summer season peak the park employs around 800 staff.

The park is hosting events to promote Lego's technical Bionicles range,

including firework displays in October and November. The park attracted

1.5 million visitors during 2000.
