JP Morgan shifts NY head of media to Anderson job

Investment bank JP Morgan Chase & Co has handed Michael Golden the

top EMEA PR post in place of John Anderson, who left after just two

months in the role.

Anderson quit as MD of media relations and external communications at

the bank to join Barclays Capital - the investment banking arm of the

Barclays Group.

The departure comes after months of PR team turmoil at JP Morgan Chase,

with a full-scale restructure carried out four months ago after the

merger of JP Morgan and Chase Manhattan.

Anderson took the EMEA job in May after incumbent Christine Holgate left

just five months heading the division (PRWeek, 25 May).

Golden is promoted from V-P (media relations), based in New York. He

transferred to London earlier this year to help during the merger.

His role has changed since Anderson's departure to exclude internal

comms, now handed to Carol Lake, MD for sponsorship, events and brand

advertising.

At Barclays, Anderson is MD and global head of corporate communications,

replacing Peter Krijgsman, who has left to pursue other interests.

He joins this week and will report to Paul Idzik, Barclays Capital COO,

and Lee Bruce, communications director for the Barclays Group.
