New director for Celgene

Celgene, the biopharma company, has recruited Novartis' Nicola Redfern as director of market access UK and Ireland. She was previously director of comms and external affairs in Novartis' Oncology Business Unit.

Pegasus PR has appointed beauty PR specialist Sharon Whiting as senior consultant to bolster its healthy beauty division. She is co-founder of PH Communications, and has previously held positions at Lancome and L'Oreal.

The CCD Public Relations Nutrition Team has added Wholebake's health snack 9 Bar to its client list. The account was won after a three-way competitive pitch. The PR campaign aims to encourage people to include nutritionally dense foods found in 9bar, such as seeds, nuts and honey, in their diets.

Allergan, the breast implant manufacturer, has launched the first Europe-wide public education campaign on medical aesthetics. This follows the French manufacturer PiP's breast implant scandal. Allergan, with the support of Chandler Chicco, has devised the campaign, which will be rolled out across eight European countries.
