The agency will be overseeing a range of events to generate greater awareness of FAWs work across all levels of football in Wales, from grassroots development to the national team.

The work follows on from Freshwater’s previous work role with the FAW, which has included the production of bid books for UEFA and FIFA tournaments and an online condolence book following the death of Wales’ national team manager Gary Speed in November 2011.

As part of the engagement programme, Freshwater will take a branded mobile unit to schools, high-profile events and Wales international home matches. The unit features images of the Welsh squad and a replica changing room with plasma screens and football games inside.

Jonathan Ford, FAW chief executive, said: 'Our events programme will be critical in raising awareness of the work we do in Wales and beyond with UEFA and FIFA. We also hope it will encourage more people to get involved in football in Wales. We were looking for a creative approach to our roadshows, with plenty of interactive elements to attract the crowds.'
