RAD Data Comms selects Liberty as sole PR shop

Technology PR agency Liberty Communications has won the PR account

for next-generation access infrastructure provider RAD Data

Communications.

Liberty MD Dee Gibbs said account director Janine Lamont would lead a

three-strong team from Liberty's networking and telecommunications

department in PR activities aimed at the telecoms trade and technical

press.

'RAD has used different PR sources in the past, but we are the sole

agency now. We are going to focus on the hot technologies that are

important to service providers,' said Gibbs.

RAD Data Communications UK general manager Grant Notman said Liberty's

appointment was the result of recommendations by journalists. 'We made

the decision to sign with Liberty without going through a formal

pitching process.'

The initial appointment is for a six-month period.
