College Group nabs Hill+Knowlton Strategies' Tim Fallon

College Group has snared Hill+Knowlton Strategies' Tim Fallon to head its corporate business.

Fallon joins the group as a manager partner with immediate effect, having previously served as head of corporate & international affairs at H+K.
 
A former Labour party strategist, Fallon has also led public and community affairs at J Sainsbury and headed public affairs at airport operator BAA.
 
Fallon commented: ‘Everything is in place to grow the College Group into a new generation, top tier, international business comms consultancy.’
 
He told PRWeek it was important to him to be able to have a ‘personal stake’ in his new agency and be able to ‘drive the ambitious growth of College Group from the centre of the business’.
 
Former College Group corporate head Chris Woodcock, who sold her own consultancy to College Group in 2008, will remain a managing partner of the business, advising the firm’s wider business comms practices.
 
Chief executive Richard Nichols commented: ‘Timing is everything, and we are very excited that Tim joins us at the start of a further period of rapid growth, planned for both the corporate practice and the wider group.
 
‘Our Corporate offer, spanning reputation management, crisis and risk expertise and coaching, is more than holding its own on any international stage, so our continued success will depend on us playing to our strengths and leveraging the considerable intellectual property we have built up in the team.’
