Leedex Euro RSCG to build brand for David Lloyd clubs

Leedex Euro RSCG has been tasked by David Lloyd fitness clubs with

a UK brand-building campaign.



The account, won after a four-way pitch, sees the agency undertake

consumer work nationwide and at a regional level for the firm's 46

centres across the UK and Ireland.



The agency will also undertake work on club launches as the client seeks

to boost its 200,000 membership.



Leedex replaces incumbent agency Communique Public Relations, which

opted not to repitch.



The account is led by the director of Leedex's Leeds office Richard

Harrison, who fronts a seven-strong team spanning the agency's UK

offices. They report to David Lloyd's marketing controller Nick

Wake.



The appointment follows the decision of Whitbread, the clubs' parent

firm, to take on Leedex in March for its community investment policy.
