Public Affairs: The Week in Lobbying

Populus has appointed Chris Wilkins as associate director. He joins from Bell Pottinger Public Advocacy, where he was regional campaigns director based in Dubai, responsible for devising and overseeing strategies for political and social campaigns across the Middle East and South East Asia.

Maitland Political has brought in Julie Harris as a partner. She leaves Interel after working there for just four months. Her role was director of the consumer and leisure division. Before working at Interel, Harris worked at Fleishman-Hillard for more than a decade, where she was a director and partner.

The Whitehouse Consultancy has promoted Emma Carr to the position of associate director. Carr, who joined the Whitehouse team in March 2010, has been promoted from senior consultant. She has previously worked for organisations including Bupa and the Social Market Foundation, and was a former vice-chair of the Young Fabians.

Correction Last week's Week in Lobbying column stated that Tracey Loftis recently joined PLMR from Cancer Research UK, when she has, in fact, joined Arthritis Research UK as head of policy and public affairs.
