PUBLIC SECTOR: Medway promotes parents' network

Medway Council has taken on agency help to promote a pilot family

support scheme, called the Positive Parenting Network (PPN). Oxygen

Marketing, recruited on a year-long project basis, will handle PR,

advertising, marketing and publication design for the scheme - an online

portal for support groups and parents. If successful, Medway's PPN,

which has been part funded by the Treasury, will be adopted across

Britain. Account director Charles Voyantis heads the account, reporting

to Harry Harrison, the council's family support manager. Voyantis says

the agency's goals are to get 120 local family support and health groups

involved in the site by the end of the year.
