The London-based agency starting trading today after Meacher left Hotwire last week.
Meacher was formerly director and head of UK at IF Communications, before it was purchased by Hotwire last year. She has also worked at Brunswick, Ballard Associates and as global PR manager at media firm Tarsus Group.
She commented: ‘FieldHouse has been created to service clients differently. It's all about top-level strategic advice. No hype, no crazy creative, no way out promises. FieldHouse sets out to achieve the best results by really understanding sectors and companies, by really getting under their skin.
‘Let's talk about comms strategy – where a company is, where it needs to be and what can be done to get it there. What's seriously going to hit the bottom line? That's what's interesting and that's what will make an impact. That's why PR is important.’
At IF Communications, Meacher focused on venture-backed and start-up tech businesses, running accounts including Silicon Valley Bank, Octopus, Wellington Partners, Intel Capital, Seatwave and Associated Northcliffe Digital (part of DMGT).
Her new venture will look to tap into government efforts to reshape the UK economy around technological and digital innovation, and initiatives such as Tech City in East London.
Meacher explained: ‘The fascinating and innovative venture space is growing faster than we can imagine – hence the Government’s involvement, and the investment into the UK from companies such as Silicon Valley Bank. Will the next Facebook or Apple be found in the UK? I don’t know, but if they are here, I am all set to find them, help them build a profile, connect them with investors and help them find the funding they need to take things to the next stage.’
