Taxi app GetTaxi calls in Dynamo for consumer brief

The business start-up GetTaxi, which aims to make the ordering of licensed London black taxis safer as well as easier, has called in PR support to connect with consumers.

The makers of the app, the first of its kind to launch in the UK, worked with Kazio up until its launch last September.

Users can order a cab from their phones, track its progress on a real-time map and see the driver’s photo, phone number and registration plate. The app also allows users to add credit card details, paying instantly for journeys.

Dynamo’s first task will be to promote the app at the Mobile World Congress, starting on 27 February.

GetTaxi CEO Neal Fullman said: ‘We have been looking for a new PR agency that can get up and running very quickly as the focus turns to mobile with Mobile World Congress starting next week. Dynamo impressed us with their speedy turnaround of ideas and strategic plans for GetTaxi and we hired the team within a week of meeting them.’

Dynamo has been briefed to raise the profile of GetTaxi’s app in the technology, consumer lifestyle and London-focused press and will also support social media marketing.
