Deryn, a new public affairs agency, is being set up in Wales, based in Cardiff Bay.

Deryn's team includes Cathy Owens, a former special adviser who helped organise the Yes for Wales campaign; Alison Goldsworthy, deputy chair of the Liberal Democrats federal executive; and Nerys Evans, Plaid Cymru's director of policy.

Grayling Switzerland has appointed Stephan Oehen as executive director. Oehen joins from working as the founding director at Oehen PR. Oehen has experience of working for Swiss SMEs, financial services and public affairs companies.

Burson-Marsteller China has recruited Jane Zhang as director of its government relations and public policy consulting group. Zhang joins from Pfizer China, where she led the company's strategic policy and business excellence functions. She will be based in Beijing and report to Burson-Marsteller China CEO Chris Deri.

RLM Finsbury has brought in Eric Eve as a partner, based in New York. Eve joins from working as first deputy comptroller for the city of New York. A former special assistant for political affairs to President Bill Clinton, Eve advised the President, vice-president and First Lady on matters affecting the north eastern US and African Americans nationally.
