Cabinet Office calls in Weber Shandwick to boost UK tourism

Weber Shandwick has been appointed to handle PR for a series of international events promoting the UK abroad.

The agency has been selected by the Cabinet Office to handle comms for the Government’s GREAT campaign, which aims to boost UK tourism and inward investment.

Executive director for government comms Jenny Grey said: ‘We’ve engaged Weber Shandwick until the end of March to provide international support for the GREAT launch events in Rio de Janeiro, Delhi and Los Angeles.’

The Rio event will see images projected on to Sugarloaf Mountain, while the LA event will tie in with the Oscars later this month.
