It will include a comms briefing on the Olympic Torch Relay, given by the Government Olympic Executive.
The interactive briefing will focus on how local and national government comms arrangements will integrate around the relay, and best practice advice for authorities involved in the relay.
An election of a committee for 2012/13 will also take place, for which the CIPR LPS is inviting nominations from members to stand.
The event is free and open to all local public service communicators, although only CIPR LPS members may vote at the AGM.
The CIPR LPS represents comms professionals in all local public services including government, health, housing and education.
