Ariella has chosen the agency - the first it has used since the 1980s - following a three-way pitch showdown late last year.

EdenCancan has been given a six-month retainer brief as Ariella unveils its new website, complete with 3D graphics, which is to be marked by a London fashion show launch in April

The agency will also promote the Ariella Couture range, as seen on the likes of pop star Rowland and TV presenter Amanda Holden, as the awards season kicks in.

Nick Ede, creative director at EdenCancan, said: 'From our point of view, we want to maximise Ariella's A-list credentials, as it is looking to be positioned as a high-end luxury brand.’

Ariella CEO Achilles Constantine said the company had started in the 1960s but was experiencing a ‘renaissance’.

‘We interviewed several agencies but EdenCancan was fresh, young and quirky, and exactly the people we want to represent us, he added.

‘It’s a huge step and massively exciting for us, as Nick and his team really seem to know what we’re trying to do.’

EdenCancan has also won a brief with fashion label Little Mistress to help promote its new ranges and increase celebrity support of the label.
