The lingerie brand was established in the 1930s and has appointed Exposure as its international consumer PR agency.

Exposure is charged with promoting the brand as reaching 'a new level in chic cosmetic lingerie'.

Hannah Macleod, Exposure fashion director, said: 'Scandale’s heritage in girdles, and the growth of the shapewear market, make this anticipated launch such a great opportunity for Exposure. We are looking forward to helping women own a little bit of Paris chic.'

One of Exposure’s first projects is to help raise awarness of Scandale’s Sirène Collection, which vows to bring 'vintage elegance bang up to date' with new fabrics and technology.

Exposure will be the global hub for the brand, managing PR agencies in key international and fashion markets.

The appointment comes hot on the heels of American shapewear brand Spanx hiring EdenCancan as its first retained UK PR agency ahead of a revamp of its product range.
